The Tinyoni Sewing Project is a welcoming and creative space where people can learn, grow, and discover the joy of sewing. We offer hands-on training for anyone interested in sewing - from complete beginners to those dreaming of turning their passion into a profession. Our step-by-step approach means students start working with fabric right from the beginning, building confidence as they learn.
Our friendly, experienced instructors guide students through everything from basic stitches to more advanced sewing and tailoring techniques, using interactive lessons and practical demonstrations. Along the way, we place a strong focus on creativity and self-expression, encouraging each student to explore their own ideas and develop a unique personal style.
To make sure every learner has the best possible experience, we provide all the tools and resources needed. Each student is given access to their own sewing machine for the duration of the course, along with quality course materials and practice fabrics. Students learn about different types of fabrics, how to use them, and how to bring their designs to life through hands-on projects.
Whether someone wants to try a new hobby, gain practical skills, or work towards a future in fashion or garment-making, the Tinyoni Sewing Project offers a supportive, fun, and nurturing environment where everyone is encouraged to learn, create, and succeed.
In 2023, we hosted a special fundraiser fashion show at Church Unlimited in Nelspruit. It was an incredible day filled with creativity, community, and generosity. Thanks to the support of our wonderful sponsors and donors, we were able to raise funds that helped us continue and grow the work we are doing through our training programmes.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who partnered with us and made this event a success. đź’›
